Config reference

geo-trax is driven by one self-contained YAML file. These pages are generated from the bundled default.yaml on every documentation build, so they always list the keys, defaults and comments of the shipped file. The CLI column names the flag that overrides a key for one run; any key can also be overridden with --set KEY=VALUE. See the Configuration guide for presets, geotrax config copy and the --set rules.

Sections

Section Purpose
input Persistent defaults for the orthophoto / master-frame / segmentation folders used by georeferencing and plotting
output Controls where pipeline outputs are written and how they are named
processing These control how many frames to process
batch Defaults for the batch orchestrator's directory scan ('geotrax batch' on a folder)
extraction Stabilization, short-track removal, and vehicle dimension estimation for 'geotrax extract'
stabilo Parameters for Stabilo video stabilization
georef Parameters for the homography-based georeferencing stage ('geotrax georeference')
visualization These control the annotated-video output from 'geotrax visualize'
plotting These control the output from 'geotrax plot'
ultralytics Full parameter reference: https://github.com/ultralytics/ultralytics
tracker A single 'active' selector chooses which tracker drives 'geotrax extract'

Presets

Each preset is a complete config file that differs from default.yaml only in a few tuned values. Select one by name with -c, e.g. geotrax batch video.mp4 -c confident.

Preset Focus
default Balanced baseline; suitable for most scenes.
confident Precision: higher conf (0.4), tighter NMS, longer min track; fewer, more reliable detections.
lenient Recall: relaxes every threshold (conf 0.15, max_det 1500, looser NMS/association/track-init).
stable Stabilization quality: full res + more features + CLAHE + stricter matching; slower, more accurate.
